Shooting with winter sun presents its own challenges.
More great info from Michael Zelbel’s Good Light Magazine. In this Tutorial he covers how to photograph a subject with the sun behind the model and light coming directly into your lens. He used the sun’s rays to produce a beautiful rim light effect around the subject, also covering subjects like the subject’s hair and clothing color and how to utilize both dark and light colors, how to put the sun directly behind the subject or having it visible and shine into your lens. When is the perfect time to photograph with the sun, what background to look for when shooting into the sun, and of course lighting setup for rim lighting to keep the subject well lit while having that bright light coming from behind?
Of course, Micheal shoot with the award-winning Phottix Indra
