Canon 1D Mk IV to be announced October 20?

Canon Rumors is reporting that the anticipated Canon 1D Mark IV (1D Mk IV) will be announced October 20, 2009. The source, says the blog post, is very reliable. The new Canon Digital SLR will have and APS-H (1.3x crop) sensor, and extremely high maximum ISO – somewhere in the neighborhood of ISO 102,400.

And Nikon Rumors – New D3s Specs:
The latest rumored specs for the soon-to-be-announced Nikon D3s are swirling through the photographic world. The new DSLR is rumored to have:

  • No 14 frames per second speed.
  • Improved ISO-performance (200-12800)
  • Larger buffer
  • 1.2 crop mode
  • Improved AF-ON button
  • Improved multi-dial

The Nikon announcement is expected to be made during the Salon de la Photo in Paris, France, which Team Phottix will be attending. Nikon and Canon fans are both crossing their fingers. It’s like Christmas in October.
