Canon 5D Mark III coming in 2010?

Just as the rumors were starting to dry up out comes a doozy: Canon Rumors is reporting that the Canon 5D Mark III will be announced and/or released during 2010.

Canon’s professional DSLRs are released every 2 to 3 years – a Canon 5D Mark III in 2010 shaves 6 months off the expected announcement of a replacement for Canon’s 21 mp, full-frame monster pro body.

Canon Rumors has rated this nugget of information CR1 – meaning the source is new and has no track record regarding Canon’s machinations.

The rumored full-frame Canon 5D Mark III would have beefed up video features and the Canon 7D Autofocus system.  The previously mentioned (and new) Canon 3D will not happen, reports Canon Rumors’ source.

Stay tuned – more on this as it develops.
