Ricoh and a possible micro-four thirds camera are grist for the rumor mill now that Canon and Nikon have announced their new DSLRs.  Ricoh, maker of the popular GR series of digital cameras, is rumored to be announcing a mirrorless camera in November.

Rumor 1: Ricoh will announce a new micro four thirds camera with a Pentax K-mount of Micro K-mount.

Rumor 2: Ricoh is releasing something completely different in November.

Rumors are rumors, take it all with a grain of salt (remember: the Canon 1D Mark IV was rumored to be called the Mark V because of Japanese superstitions regarding the number 4).

Rumored Ricoh Micro Four Thirds Specs:

  • APS-C sensor
  • Similar to the Ricoh Caplio GX200
  • A new, unique lens mount.

The new Ricoh is rumored to be announced mid-November and be on the streets in December. The specs, says 43rumors.com, will beat the E-P1 and GF1.
