It was a successful four days for Team Phottix at the Hong Kong Computer and Communications Festival. The show, held August 21-24, saw 635,000 people visit the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. There was a never-ending crowd in front of the Phottix booth watching product demonstrations and inquiring about Phottix photo accessories.
The Phottix Hero was extremely popular. The Hero is a wireless live view remote system, giving users a live view preview from their camera’s viewfinder on a 2.4-inch color LCD. The Phottix Hero can be used up to 100 meters away from the camera, providing not only a preview but also providing audio and shutter release functions. It can be used on cameras with or without live view functionality thanks to a viewfinder camera and transmitter. The Phottix Hero, as recognized by the HKCCF attendees, has unlimited uses, including sports, aerial, nature, street, and family photography.
Phottix’s Premium Series Battery Grips were also quick sellers. The Battery Grips extend the power-life of Digital SLRs by holding two batteries, and have an adapter to load easy-to-find AA batteries should your camera batteries run down. The grips also feature a vertical shutter release button, making it easier to capture portrait-orientation images. Phottix Premium Series Battery Grips are available for Canon, Nikon and Sony DSLRs, and offer great performance when used with Phottix Titan Series Batteries.
It was a busy four days for Team Phottix, but they are also happy to demonstrate their products and talk photography. Helping shutterbugs get the best results is their goal. They are looking forward to next year’s HKCCF.
