Shooting with natural light in Kuala Lumpur

Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to subscribe to the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

Team Phottix was on hand for the Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival (Malaysia) last weekend and took part in a very special shoot with two beautiful Thai models.

The photographers taking part were natural light shooters.  I’m all about the strobes. While the Phottix Odin was used a few images were made using only natural light. I think flash versus natural light is as divisive as the Nikon versus Canon debate, although not nearly as violent. Some togs will shoot only natural light, others will relinquish their strobes when they are pried from their cold, dead fingers.

The above image of Lisa used natural window light and a Phottix 7-in-1 Collapsible reflector (silver side).  Some images shot with the Odin will be posted later this week.

What’s your opinion? Do you like natural light or strobes, or a mix? Do you have a die-hard preference?
