It’s like Christmas months early. Camera manufacturers have been busy and a flurry of announcements regarding new models have been made.
Shutterbugs are eagerly awaiting the release of the new Canon 7D, an 18 mp APS-C Digital SLR. Nikon’s D300s has just started to ship to anxious photogs. The Leica M9, touted by the company as the “world’s smallest full-frame system camera” is on the streets.
dpreview, the intertubes’ pre-eminent digital camera review site, has a hands-on preview of the Canon 7D posted. The sample photos and video from the newest Canon look good.
The site also has a Leica M9 hands-on preview. The £4,850 rangefinder camera was available in the UK on September 9, 2009. The sample images from the 18-megapixel Leica M9 will make Leica fans consider financing options to purchase the new body.
