The Phottix Hero received a PMA “shout out” from photography writer Robert Franner. In his piece on Day 2 at the PMA, he mentioned the Phottix Live View Wireless Remote.
Franner said the Phottix Hero provides “much greater versatility,” that comparable products and great compatibility as it works with many DLSR models.
The Phottix Hero and Phottix Hector Live View Remotes connect to Digital SLR cameras and allow photographers to preview their viewfinder and operate their camera from a wired or wireless remote unit. Photographers can focus and take photos without looking into the camera viewfinder. The wireless remote can operate a camera up to 100 meters away.
The Hero and Hector are great accessories for sports, nature, and candid photography. Not limited to the ground, aerial photography from a mast or kite is easy using a Phottix Live View Remote. The remote allows photographers to see what their camera see and take photos.
Team Phottix has been busy at the large Photo Marketing Association (PMA) 2010 event in Anaheim, California. Six new Phottix products have debuted to great acclaim by Phottix customers and visitors.
The Phottix Live View Remotes have proven a popular product within the industry. At PMA 2009 the Hero mentioned by a major internet retailer in its notes about the show. The Hero and Hector Live View Remotes were given an innovation award during the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) in October 2009 and were also featured during the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
While major players Canon and Leica pulled out of the show Team Phottix has said attendance has been good and given them a chance to speak with old friends while making new ones.
