With the theme “Joy and Beauty through Advance Photo Imaging Technology”, the 2014 event promises to call attention anew to the various “powers” of photography through four days of product and photo exhibitions and a wide range of events that provide the joy of “shooting”, “viewing” and “connecting” pictures. Attracting all the major camera manufactures the timing of this years fair looks set to see several consumer rather than professional focused models and accessories released by the likes of Nikon, Fuji, Canon and more.
With the event holding their Premier Time on Thursday for the press here is a collection of what looks set to be features of the 2014 exhibition.
Canon Rumors is reporting that from Canon there will be a new DSLR speculating that it could be a Rebel below the EOS SL1. They also expect among other things a couple new PowerShots. confirming the more consumerist angle of the show. Which is backed up by news that Nikon are going to pushing forward with their mirrorless cameras and will announce more products at the fair despite a lack of progress in the European and American markets for mirrorless cameras. Nikon Rumors are suggesting it will be the 1V3 with 4k video and that Nikon may follow Canon and announce the new mirrorless for the Asian market only. Sony Alpha Rumors are confidently stating that the A6000 will be the only system camera that Sony will be announcing tomorrow in time for the fair along with some compacts. According to Photography Blog visitors to Sony’s stand can expect to see the emphasize the processing speed of the new camera and faster auto-focusing. Fuji Rumors has an interesting post of nothing but a collection of all the various reviewer praise for the newly announced X-T1, and it is expected to be another focus of Fuji’s stand as they continue to extol the benefits of mirrorless especially at the high-end-non-pro-consumer portion of the market for those who want a certain pow to their images without the intensity of owning a good DSLR.
