Objects of Desire, the annual competition by Photgraphy District News, has launched and is excepting entries until August 4th. One grand prize winner will take home $2000.
There are also several smaller prizes, and a fan’s favourite prize which, if you have a lot of facebook friends, should be a steal given the maximum amount of votes any current entry has is 5!
Having glanced over the all important licensing and royalty releases in the terms and conditions it seems to be a fairly reasonable 2 years, and only for the winners. Promising:
Will my images be sold?
No. You retain copyright to your photograph and the Sponsors may not sell your photo entry for a fee. All entries may be posted online so that viewers may view all competing entries. And winning entries may be used in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest for a period of 24 months from the date winners are notified.
That said check out the full terms here.
This years categories are “Commercial/Editorial” and “Fine Art/Personal” which is perfect for breaking out the flash triggers and possibly scooping some cash rewards for it.
