Canon, Sony Firmware updates available

Canon has released a firmware update for the Canon 7D that deals with a nasty ghosting problem spotted by some users. When shooting in high-speed mode traces of the last image were being recorded with new images.  The v1.1.0 7D firmware upgrade can be downloaded from the Canon website.

While on the topic of the new APS-C wunderkind: dpreview.com has published its review of the 7D. The 31-page document speaks highly of the new Canon Digital SLR and rates it as “Highly recommended.”

Sony’s new firmware release addresses focus-lock issues on the A380, A330 and A230 bodies. Download the upgrade from Sony: PC Windows and  Mac.
