The rumor mill is still buzzing with Canon’s expected new Digital SLRs.
Canonrumors.com is reporting that Canon 1D MkIV won’t be announced until 2010. Speculation has been that Canon would announce a new 1D model at an upcoming press conference. The August 25/26 Canon announcement never came to fruition. Insiders now say a press conference is scheduled for September 1.
Many believe a new Canon model, the 7D, will be announced. The specs of the new DSLR are being debated, the latest being the new 7D will feature an in-body flash trigger and full HD video recording. Canon is also expected to announce three new lenses and an underwater camera.
The 60D and 1D MkIV? February 2010, or so it is rumored.
In the Nikon world: Retailers are expected to start shipping Nikon D300s over the next few days, and Nikon Camera Control Pro 2.6.0 has been released.
Leaked specs of yet-to-be announced Sony DSLRs, the a500 and a850, are also circulating. The Sony a850, a 24-megapixel monster, could be announced in September, and the 5 fps a500 in October.
